The search for autonomy and social development in the early-learning class

An adapted and caring environment

The Éveil class welcomes 15 children aged 2 to 4, supervised by a French-speaking Montessori educator, an English-speaking assistant and a CAP Petite Enfance assistant.

We take into account the individual needs of each child, including diapering and napping for those who wish. This first year in the community gently prepares the child for entry into the Maternelle class.

Promoting socialization and autonomy

  • Socialization: special moments are set aside to encourage meeting, mutual aid and respect for others.
  • Motor development: Activities such as music, motor skills and handicrafts help children develop body awareness and organize their body schema.
  • Autonomy : Montessori materials adapted for toddlers help them develop motor skills, curiosity and language.

Montessori materials for hands-on learning

  • Silent presentation: The educator demonstrates how to use the material, using gestures rather than words to encourage understanding and concentration.
  • Free exploration: Children manipulate and discover at their own pace, reinforcing their autonomy and self-esteem.

Personalized welcome and support

We regularly welcome trainees in early childhood education, who enrich our team and contribute to the quality of the care offered to our little ones. This early-learning class is designed as a first step towards autonomy, socialization and discovery of the world.

Our 2-year-old daughter has joined the kindergarten. To her great delight! Everything is done to make the children feel at ease and to help them blossom.
